Coronavirus – update
Your appointment with Mulberry Osteopaths during the present pandemic
Mulberry Osteopaths continue to operate but we are essentially providing a reduced service at Mulberry House.
There is only limited remote reception cover at the moment so appointments can only be made via the on-line booking system or by contacting us via e-mail. Telephone messages will only be picked up sporadically so e-mail contact is preferable.
If you are a New Patient to Mulberry Osteopaths you will need to e-mail us before booking an appointment so that we can arrange an initial telephone consultation with you. Initial consultations ordinarily last for 1 hour but we want to limit appointment times to 30 minutes for the foreseeable future.
We will be operating a limited appointment timetable with only one Osteopath practicing at any one time. Where possible we will be operating 30 minute treatment sessions with spaces between appointments to allow for cleaning and ventilation of the treatment room. To find out which Osteopath is operating on which day follow this link to the temporary timetable.
Who should be making appointments?
Patients with coronavirus symptoms should not be attending osteopathic clinics.
If you have had any symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 7 days, e.g. a high temperature, a new, persistent cough and/or a loss of sense of smell and/or taste DO NOT ATTEND.
If you or anyone in your household has been in contact with someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days DO NOT ATTEND.
Also be aware that some patients may be considered at high risk of contracting coronavirus so, at this time, it would be inadvisable to attend an osteopathic clinic. If you are shielding because of an underlying medical condition DO NOT ATTEND.
For more information about who is classified as high risk please check this NHS advice page.
What to expect on arrival for your appointment
We have deliberately spaced all appointments out with longer gaps than normal to allow for cleaning to take place between patients so there should be no waiting time on your arrival. Please arrive on time for your appointment so as to avoid waiting and to ensure that we can run on schedule.
In the absence of reception staff and other therapists we understand that you may wish to bring a chaperone along to the appointment with you. There is plenty of room for us to accommodate this and maintain social distancing if needed.
As there is no reception cover at the moment you will be met by your Osteopath in the foyer.
You will find that Mulberry House is looking a little less homely than normal as we have had to de-clutter the treatment room to allow for efficient cleaning.
You will be asked to wash your hands or use hand sanitiser on arrival.
Your Osteopath will be wearing some form of PPE, including a face mask. We will not be providing face masks for patients but we would encourage you to bring your own and wear it during the treatment sessions.
At the moment we cannot use towels, couch covers, pillow cases or gowns . . not exactly cosy. You may prefer to wear suitably loose clothing such as a gym outfit for the treatment session. You may also bring your own towel if you would prefer.
We can only except card payments at this time.
